Injury Recovery

Clients with injuries are often required to supply a written physician's clearance depending on the extent of the injury. Personal trainers are not doctors and (in most cases) are not physical therapists. A certified personal trainer can contribute significantly and uniquely to your recovery and rehabilitation effort. It is necessary that we coordinate your training and nutritional program with your doctor, physiatrist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, chiropractor, special nutritional counsellor, and/or alternative medicine healthcare provider(s).

During exercise, focus should be on injury prevention which can be obtained by careful attention to exercise form, a balanced whole body approach to strengthening and building opposing muscles, gradual increases in workout intensity, stretching, training and a healthy nutritional program.
